Outpatient Infusion Services

SMHC offers Outpatient Infusion Services, often referred to as IV Therapy, at its Sanford Medical Center as well as at Goodall Outpatient Services in Kennebunk.

Common services provided include antibiotics; blood transfusions; remicade for crohn’s disease or rheumatoid arthritis; iron, venofer and feraheme for anemia; steroids for MS patients; reclast and prolia for osteoporosis; ringers lactate and normal saline for dehydration; and injections (limited availability, speak with your provider).

In Sanford, infusion services are offered Monday through Friday from 8 am until 3 pm, however, arrangements are made for patients needing daily medication on weekends and 12-hour medication infusion. For more information, call (207) 490.7945 or email info@smhc.org.

To receive infusion services patients must have a written order from a provider affiliated with SMHC, please speak with your caring provider
