 Better Breathers Club (Pulmonary Rehabilitation)

Second Wednesday of each month, 1:00 to 2:30pm

SMHC Physicians, 9 Healthcare Drive, Biddeford

Open to all interested in learning more about pulmonary disease and improving their quality of life. Small group sessions allow participants to share experiences, provide education and learn in a comfortable and caring setting. For more information, please call Chris Dunn at 283-7773.

Cancer Support Group - Kennebunk

Second Thursday of each month, 1:00 to 2:00pm; St. Martha’s Church, Rte.#1, Kennebunk, ME  (please park in the rear of church and enter using the rear door entrance.  Group meets in the second room on the left)

All individuals in treatment, caregivers, and survivors are welcomed.  Our goal is to provide the opportunity to share our individual journeys and offer each other hope and strength. No pre-registration necessary, FMI, please call Peggy at 283-7320.

Second Monday of each month, 10:30 to 11:30am. SMHC Saco Walk-In Clinic - Second Floor Conference Room

We welcome those affected by lung cancer and their family/friends. Support, information and networking will be provided by skilled facilitators. For pre-registration, please call Peggy at 283-7320.

 Mature Women's Support Group

SMHC Biddeford Classrooms, every other Tuesday; 4:00-5:15pm

 Mom's Circle Support Group

SMHC Biddeford Classrooms, 2nd Floor; Call for dates & times

SMHC’s Birthing Suite hosts a weekly Mom's Circle, facilitated by Katherine O'Connor RN, IBCLC. This group allows mothers to meet for support, play dates, friendship and Fun! The group provides mothers with the opportunity to share ideas, vent frustration and compare notes. In this group mothers share their experiences to help other new moms and discuss the normal, and not-so-normal, emotions during their postpartum journey.

Mom's Circle is free and babies are always welcome. For more information, contact Katherine O’Connor, RN, IBCLC at 283-7335.

 Parkinson's Disease

Second Thursday of each month, 2:00 to 4:00pm at Huntington Common, 11 Ross Road, Kennebunk

 Southern Maine Chronic Pain Support Group

First and third Thursdays of each month at The Pines, Ocean Park, ME

 Young Widow and Widowers

Second and Fourth Fridays of each month, 6:30 to 8:00pm at the Cancer Care Center, 27 Industrial Avenue, Sanford

The Center for Grieving Children, in collaboration with the Cancer Care Center of York County, offers a free peer support group for individuals age 60 and younger who have experienced the death of a spouse or partner. Where and how to sign up..

Most of our programs take place at SMHC Biddeford (One Medical Center Drive), SMHC Sanford (25 June Street) or at one of SMHC's Diagnostic and Therapy Centers in Saco (13 Industrial Park Road), Kennebunk (4 Shape Drive) and Biddeford (9 Healthcare Drive). Locations are noted as either SMHC Biddeford, SMHC Sanford, Saco, or Kennebunk. Other venues are clearly specified. Unless otherwise noted, there is no charge.
