Looking for laughter, silliness and an opportunity to escape the stress of daily life? Join us for a special night with girlfriends at Southern Maine Medical Center (SMMC) Auxiliary’s Third Annual Girls Night Out on Wednesday, June 19. Hosted by the SMHC Auxiliary at the Coastal House on 2128 Post Road (Route 1) in Wells, the evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and desserts, followed at 7:30 p.m. by entertainment from comedienne Karen Morgan.
“Maine’s Funniest Mom” Karen Morgan spent years as a successful trial attorney until she became a full-time mother and launching her career as a comedienne and writer. She made her national television debut on a one-hour comedy special only months later. Since then, Karen has appeared in theaters, comedy clubs, and on radio and television nationwide. As a corporate speaker and author, audiences applaud Karen’s hilarious views on life.
Proceeds will go toward the SMHC Auxiliary’s $90,000 pledge to help renovate ten inpatient semi-private rooms to private rooms. This will ensure patient safety, increase privacy, and enhance our patient’s healing environment. Each room will be equipped with a comfortable visiting area and a day bed so loved ones can stay over if they choose. We hope you will join us to help support this transformative project.
Tickets are $35 each and space is limited. They can be purchased by calling Tina Turgeon at 283-7235, via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or by sending a check payable to SMHC Auxiliary to: SMHC Auxiliary Girls Night Out, 1 Medical Center Drive, Biddeford, ME 04005.
This event is being sponsored by Kennebunk Beach Realty, Pack Maynard & Associates Real Estate, Reliant Mortgage, Frank Galos Chevrolet & Cadillac, Kennebunk Savings, Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution, Bella Botox, Hurlbutt Designs, Inc. and Nvest Financial Group.
