Have you ever thought of your hospital gift shop as a destination shopping spot? If not, then stop by Southern Maine Medical Center’s (SMMC) gift shop, The Pill Box, to see the wide variety of merchandise available. The Pill Box will be holding a 20 percent off storewide sale (excluding cards, live flowers, and candy) from Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19. The Pill Box is open daily from 9:30 a.m to 6:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the SMHC Auxiliary and managed by volunteer Suzanne Madore, The Pill Box is stocked with new merchandise, great for the summer, such as new jewelry from Old Pool Glassworks, summer hats, new Demdaco figures, lighthouse sun catchers, and much more.
The Pill Box is conveniently located right off the lobby at the main entrance of the hospital. All proceeds from gift shop sales support Auxiliary activities such as the hospitality cart for visitors, the Healing Garden outside the Dorothy Walker Bush Emergency Care Pavilion, and newborn stabillettes.
