Dr. Peter Manning, an obstetrician/ gynecologist of Southern Maine Medical Center (SMMC) PrimeCare Women’s Health in Biddeford, has been elected president of SMHC PrimeCare Physician Services. In his position as president, Dr. Manning joined the SMHC board as an ex-officio member.
Dr. Peter Manning is a graduate Colby College and the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Maine Medical Center and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Manning is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as the Maine Section treasurer.
“We are very pleased Dr. Peter Manning has accepted the position as president of SMHC PrimeCare Physician Services,” said Ed McGeachey, president and CEO of SMHC. “He has been on the medical staff of SMHC for five years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the joint operations of SMHC and SMHC PrimeCare Physician Services.”
Dr. Manning resides in Kennebunk with his wife, Dr. Christina Manning of SMHC PrimeCare Pediatrics, and is the proud father of two children.
