Acute inpatient care
Short-term, intensive treatment designed to stabilize a child or adolescent in crisis, while providing client and family with a supportive aftercare plan that helps prevent or minimize the need for future hospitalization.
Hospital-based residential care
Longer-term, 24-hour treatment for children and adolescents with chronic or complex psychiatric disorders. We offer a full schedule of therapeutic groups and activities in a safe, secure, structured milieu.
Partial hospital program (day treatment)
Short-term, less costly therapeutic alternative to 24-hour inpatient hospitalization for children and adolescents requiring intensive treatment in a highly structured but less restrictive setting. The Partial program operates Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 3:30pm.
Inpatient program includes:
- Board certified child/adolescent psychiatrist-directed treatment
- Multi-disciplinary team approach, including psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, chaplains, dieticians, therapists, teachers and aides
- Continuum of care providing inpatient care and out-patient referral
- Medication management
- Individualized treatment plans
- Individual and group therapy
- 24-hour care
- Family participation
- Discharge planning
- On-site Texas Education Agency accredited K-12 academic program
Outpatient programs
The majority of children and adolescents are able to resolve their mental health problems without hospitalization. Family therapy can help families improve communication and conflict resolution skills. Individual therapy can help a youth improve his or her ability to function in critical areas such as self-esteem, emotional stability, family relationships and academic performance.

Our treatment philosophy
We believe that children do well when they can. Our goal is to identify challenges that keep them from doing well. Working together, we help children develop and strengthen the social, cognitive, executive and emotional regulation skills they need to become successful in daily life.
