SMHC Rehabilitation Services
The Rehabilitation Services department is comprised of physical therapists (PT), physical therapist assistants (PTA), occupational therapists (OT), speech language pathologists (SLP) and rehab aides. We provide therapy services to both pediatric and adult patients across the continuum of care, with the goal of helping people reach their best functional outcome. The continuum of care at SMHC in which our skilled therapists work includes acute care (Biddeford Medical Center), skilled rehab (Newton Center in Sanford), and outpatient therapy sites (located in Biddeford, Sanford, Kennebunk, and Waterboro).
Southern Maine Health Care rehabilitation department exists to provide individualized, quality and compassionate care for a variety of rehabilitation needs to restore optimum function and independence.
