Southwest Mental Health Center
is providing a free, quarterly series on a variety
of emotional, behavioral and mental health issues. The seminar series
is open to the community. Parents, caretakers, school teachers and
counselors, as well as children advocates will benefit from these
presentations. Attendees will be able to participate in a Q&A
session following the presentation. One-hour CEU credit will be awarded
for LPC, LMSW and Type 2 RN. To register

Help Raise Awareness About
Children's Mental Health Issues
SMHC's “Open Minds,
Healthy Minds” campaign promotes children's mental health
awareness. SMHC representatives are
available to visit schools, churches, chambers of commerce and
community organizations to talk about mental health, train staff and
parents and distribute educational materials that encourage public
awareness. For more information on having an SMHC representative speak
